MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL BODY MEETING OF CHENNAI GOODS TRANSPORT ASSOCIATION HELD On Saturday, 18th June 2011

at 07:30 P.M at Hotel Accord Metropolitan, T.Nagar, Chennai – 17

The Members were  present in large and their active participation was a marvelous experience which establishes the greatness of our Association.

President Speech

Mr. P.V Subramani, President took the chair and declared that the required quorum was present to convene the Annual General Body Meeting. The President read the Welcome speech and highlighting the operations & prospects of the Association during the year

2010 – 2011 with the great support of our members

After the President speech, One Minute Silence was absorbed in memory of Janab Osman Ali Khan of M/s. RTC Logistics who passed away recently.

Hon. Secretary Report

Mr. Achuthan Nair Hon. Secretary read the Minutes of Annual General Body Meeting held on 21.08.201 Same was confirmed and proposed by Mr. Jagatsingh Walia of M/s. Gurpreet Freight Carriers and seconded by Mr. Sanjay Lohia of M/s. Om Shivshakti's Movers.
Mr. Achuthan Nair Hon. Secretary presented the Annual Report of 2010 – 2011.

Treasurer Report

Mr. B.N. Sharma, Treasurer presented the Audited statement of Accounts for the year 2010 – 2011 The Auditor’s Report having already been circulated was taken as read and proposed by Mr. Shivkumar of M/s. Gupta Transport Corporation and seconded by

Mr. P. V. Thyagaraj of M/s. Confident Cargo Carriers.

                                                                           
The retiring Auditors M/s. Rajani & Co, Chartered Accountants, be and are hereby reappointed as Auditors of the Association  to hold office till the conclusion of next Annual General Meeting at a remuneration of Rs.5600/-.
On being put to vote by show of hands, the resolution was carried unanimously.

Our sponsors for the AGM, M/S. J.K. Tyre & M/S. Skopes Solutions presented their AV presentation about their products.   
Mr. Rajinder Singh, Past President Shared his experience and views about “Road Safety” to the members present. 

Appointment of Executive Council For 2011 - 2013

Mr. K.K.Sasidharan, Returning Officer Declared the Election Results which was held on 18th June 2011 at the same Venue of AGM FROM 05:00 P.M To 07:00 P.M. The Officer Bearers were elected unopposed and the Executive Council Members were elected by members voting through a ballot system, out of 16 Candidates 12 were declared as elected.
